“But the Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, Whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will cause you to recall (will remind you of, bring to your remembrance) everything I have told you.” John 14:26 AMPC.
The wonderful ministry of the Lord Holy Spirit makes alot of difference in the life of a Christian, without the Holy Spirit, there is no Christianity. He is the one who reveals the Lord Jesus Christ in our hearts, He strengthens, guides, teaches and brings divine presence and glory in our lives.
The Lord Holy Spirit also is our counsel for defense. Isaiah 9:6 KJV says “………..: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.” The English word Counselor is translated from the Hebrew root word ‘’ya’ats’’ which means to advise, resolve, guide, or decree. This Hebrew word is further broken into two words; ‘Pele’ and ‘Yoetz.’
The word Pele means Miraculous and Beyond Understanding and Yoetz means a king’s chief advisor or royal strategist, a Yoetz is a leader who cuts through confusion, clearly commands the truth, and charts the absolute best course of action for a nation. When you combine the two words together, it means a supernatural ruler who possesses miraculous wisdom to design and execute a flawless plan. This describes the Lord Holy Spirit our Counselor.
“…….. He shoulders responsibility and is called: Extraordinary Strategist, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6 NET. This is a unique kind of counsellor, He is referred to as the extraordinary strategist. In planning and execution, He is someone who formulates a complex battle plan or governing strategy and has the power to see it through to completion. He is our Counsel for defence. He engages our adversaries even when we are not aware of it, Glory.
PRAYER
Dear Heavenly Father, I thank you for the precious gift of the Lord Holy Spirit, thank you that through Him, my life has been transformed. I am a wonder to my world because the extraordinary strategist lives in me. I pray for all your children all over the world that their hearts are open to the ministry of the precious Lord Holy Spirit, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
