Apostle Geoffrey Okeny
Luke 17:15 (MSG) One of them ,when he realised that he was healed, turned around and came back ,shouting his gratitude, glorifying God.
Gratitude is a kingdom principle that brings completeness to a believer’s life. In the story of the ten lepers, all cried out to Jesus for mercy, and all were healed as they obeyed His word. Yet only one returned to give thanks, and to him Jesus said, “Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole” (Luke 17:19 KJV).
The nine received healing, but the one who returned in gratitude was made whole. Expressing our gratitude to God for what He has done brings wholeness in your marriage, business, finances, and body. Our opening scripture (Luke 17:15–19 KJV) reveals the supernatural power that thanksgiving carries.
When we give thanks to God, we acknowledge that it is His hand that has brought us healing, provision, or promotion. Gratitude shifts our focus from self-effort to divine intervention. It testifies publicly that God alone deserves the glory. Just like the healed Samaritan who lifted his voice in public, we too must testify boldly.
Thanksgiving is not meant to be silent or hidden; it is an open declaration of God’s faithfulness. The Bible also reminds us: “In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” (1 Thessalonians 5:18). Thanksgiving is God’s will for every believer. It is not optional—it is a lifestyle.
Even in small things, a heart of gratitude keeps the door open for greater blessings. Therefore, train your heart to recognize His goodness, whether big or small. As you cultivate a lifestyle of gratitude, you will experience wellness in every area of life. Hallelujah!
CONFESSION
“I am a grateful child of God, walking in the power of thanksgiving. I declare that gratitude is my lifestyle, and I choose to honor God with thanksgiving. My heart is filled with joy and thankfulness, and I experience wellness in every area of my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
