Death has been abolished

Death has been abolished

Saturday, October 4th
Apostle Geoffrey Okeny

2 Timothy 1:10 (KJV) But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:

As believers, we often face fear—fear of sickness, fear of aging, fear of death. Yet the Word of God brings us an incredible truth: death has been abolished. Not eventually, not someday, but through the finished work of Christ, death has been made void.

The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law (1 Corinthians 15:56). But the law has been abolished in Christ, meaning sin no longer holds dominion over us. When sin loses its strength, death loses its sting.

God did not create us to live in fear or limitation. Ephesians 2:10 reminds us that we are His workmanship, complete and whole in Him. Like a masterpiece from a master craftsman, we are perfect in God’s eyes, fully equipped for the divine life. Death cannot touch that which is perfected by God.

2 Timothy 1:10 declares that Christ has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel. This is not a distant promise—it is a present reality for every believer. The moment we receive Christ, we are clothed in immortal life.

Death, aging, and decay have no ultimate authority over the child of God. They may appear temporarily, but their power is gone; they have been dismantled and rendered nonfunctional. As you meditate on this truth, let it transform your mindset. When fear arises—fear of sickness, accidents, or aging—declare boldly: “Death has been abolished in my life. Sin has no power over me. I am alive in Christ, and immortality is my portion.”

Live as one free from fear, fully aware of the supernatural life that is yours. Practice it, speak it, see it in your mind’s eye, and act from this truth daily. The life of God in you is greater than any threat the natural world presents. Hallelujah!!

PRAYER

Heavenly Father, thank You for abolishing death and bringing life and immortality to light through the gospel. I live fully in this truth, free from fear, and bold in my walk with You.Every part of my life reflects the victory Christ has won for me.In Jesus’ name Amen.
