“Remember your leaders [for it was they] who brought you the word of God; and consider the result of their conduct [the outcome of their godly lives], and imitate their faith [their conviction that God exists and is the Creator and Ruler of all things, the Provider of eternal salvation through Christ, and imitate their reliance on God with absolute trust and confidence in His power, wisdom, and goodness]” Hebrews 13:7 AMP
We are in a generation where many people easily forget, this is because many are very ungrateful for what is done to them. As a Christian, forgetting is being unjust and unrighteous. Look at what Hebrews 6:10 NKJV says; “For God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister”
The Lord wants you to remember your leaders who brought the word of God to you and consider the results of their conduct. The word consider is translated from a Greek word anatheōreō which means to look attentively, to consider well or to observe accurately. This is not about just saying I am considering it. No, it is about fixing your eyes on the results of their conduct, the outcome of their godly lives and imitating their faith.
How do you imitate the faith of your leaders? The first thing you need to know is what makes their faith? If faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word, then you must ask yourself what is my leader listening to? Then listen to what they are listening to because that is what makes their faith.
The second thing is you must take actions they have been taking or are taking now. If they are putting their faith to cast out devils, healing the sick, then you must start following them in those actions. If they are giving great seeds, going out for soul winning, then follow their example. When you start doing that, you will grow so much by the Spirit. Follow their convictions, zeal, courage, kindness, patience and passion.
