There is no body or book or literature that defines faith as perfectly as the scriptures. Our theme scripture provides the true spiritual definition of faith, everything else fails to define it as God does. Faith is not a physical and sensory action intended to change the spiritual realm. Rather, it is a spiritual response to spiritual situations and circumstances, prompted by the Rhema word of the Spirit.
You should understand that everything happening in your life now has its roots in the spiritual realm. Doctors and other professionals may offer explanations according to their training and knowledge, but you should also understand that there is a spiritual connection to what you are experiencing, whether positive or negative.
Our opening scripture lets us know that faith is the assurance, confirmation or title deed of things we hope for. It is the proof of things we do not see and the conviction of their reality. In other words; faith is proof within your spirit that what doesn’t appeal to your senses is actually real. Consider, for example, a piece of land you own. If you travel to another city and you tell someone that you own that land, the only proof you have to confirm your ownership is the title deed because you can not carry the physical land. You may not feel it, see it with your physical eyes, smell it, hear it, or touch it, but if the title deed, which is the Scriptures, declares it, then it belongs to you. Believe it and speak in agreement with what the Word says, regardless of what your senses may tell you. When your spirit responds to the word of God with strength and boldness, you are operating in true biblical faith. Hallelujah!
CONFESSION
Thank you, precious Lord Holy Spirit, for the blessing of your word. Your word is my inheritance. Through your word, my faith grows. My faith is the title deed that you have handed over to me to lay hold of what belongs to me in Christ. Therefore, I declare that all things are working together for my good, and that every resource I require for the propagation of the gospel comes to me by free course, glory to God!
