The Christian is someone in whom the Lord has invested so much! I would to God that His children realized who they are, what they have, and what they can do. When the Lord Jesus ascended into heaven, He did not give the responsibility of making disciples to the angels but to us. Just think about the significance of that!
Not only that, He gave us the power of attorney to legally represent Him and execute Kingdom business on His behalf. This was the essence of a signet ring in those days. Once a document was sealed with a signet ring, it became legal and could not be changed.
A signet ring symbolizes authority, ownership, and legal representation. Rulers used them to seal documents with their unique stamp. For instance, Pharaoh of Egypt gave one to Joseph (Genesis 41:42) as a mark of delegated power.
In Esther 3:10-12, Haman conspired against the Jews and convinced the King to certify his writings, making them a law that even the King couldn’t alter. Another instance occurred in Daniel 6:12, when the King sealed the conspiracy of Daniel’s haters with his signet ring. He couldn’t change it, even though he wanted to, because it had become a law.
Do you know that our theme Scripture was a prophecy about us Christians? Look at the opening verse from AMPC: “………… says the Lord, and will make you [through the Messiah, your descendant] My signet ring; for I have chosen you [as the one with whom to renew My covenant to David’s line], says the Lord of hosts.” [2 Sam. 7:12, 16] (Haggai 2:23 AMPC).
We are the ones who came forth as a result of the work of the Messiah, Zerubbabel’s descendant. In confirmation of that prophecy, Jesus gave us all power in heaven and earth before His ascension (Matthew 28:18-19). We are authorized to live and operate in His place as His signet ring. Hallelujah!
Just as the signet ring seal of a King made laws which could not be changed, so it is with us today. What we seal becomes a law in the spirit realm. We have seen different scenarios documented in Scripture where kings were not in agreement with what was written but couldn’t change it because it had the seal of their signet ring. You and I, are now the King’s signet ring. Whatever we speak is a law in the spirit realm. We must be mindful of this. If we speak words that contradict the Word of God, we will bear the consequences (Proverbs 18:21).
CONFESSION
I am God’s chosen signet ring. I carry His authority, represent His Kingdom, and whatever I decree in alignment with His Word is established in the spirit realm. I am empowered to execute His will on earth as it is in heaven. I walk in divine authority, purpose, and favor, and nothing can nullify the law of God that I release.
