Boundless Joy

Boundless Joy

“When you speak to me, I devour every word. Your word brings me such boundless joy. The endless delight of my heart is in knowing that your beautiful name is attached to me, O Yahweh, Commander of Angel Armies.”‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭15‬:‭16‬ ‭TPT‬‬

The Lord God created man and breathed into him the very breath of God, making him a living being. Genesis‬ ‭2‬:‭7‬ ‭AMPC‬‬ says “Then the Lord God formed man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath or spirit of life, and man became a living being”. This revelation suggests that man’s spirit was created from God’s breath, implying that independence from God is impossible. Every creature must remain attached to its source for its survival.

Understanding the ministry of the word of God in our lives is crucial for a Christian. If one lacks this understanding, they cannot live the victorious, prosperous, and glorious life they were born into.

Notice what Jesus said when He was tempted and quoting from Old Testament Deuteronomy‬ ‭8‬:‭3‬ ‭ERV‬‬, which says “He humbled you and let you be hungry. Then he fed you with manna—something you did not know about before. It was something your ancestors had never seen” . Why did the Lord do this? Because he wanted you to know that it is not just bread that keeps people alive. It’s striking to realise that our lives depend on the word of God.

Our opening verse tells us that the word of God is more than just what we read. It’s nourishment for our spirits, as Prophet Jeremiah saw in a vision, likening the word to food that he savoured.

It’s worth noting something very interesting: after the prophet ate the word, he experienced boundless joy. This is what Apostle Peter expressed in the New Testament as joy unspeakable and full of glory: “whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:” 1 Peter 1:8 KJV.

This kind of joy doesn’t come from having a lot of money, owning houses or cars, or getting married, but rather from feasting on the word of God with a sincere heart. The word of God stirs up boundless joy and endless delights within the Christian hallelujah.

‭‭CONFESSION

I am born of the word of God, and therefore, I live and abide forevermore. My life is full of glory and excellence because I am an offspring of the word of God. I cannot fail, just as the word of God cannot fail. My life is for signs and wonders, both now and forevermore. Glory to Jesus Christ. I find boundless joy and endless delights as I meditate on the word of God, chewing it through my spiritual teeth. My life is glorious hallelujah.

DEEPER REFLECTION

“But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭4‬:‭4‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.” ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭3‬:‭3‬ ‭KJV
