Apostle Geoffrey Okeny
Isaiah 32:17 (KJV)“And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness, quietness and assurance for ever.”
Peace is one of the greatest fruits of righteousness. When you are made righteous through faith in Christ Jesus, you are brought into a life of peace, peace with God, peace within yourself, and peace with others.
Before Christ, humanity was at odds with God, living in guilt, fear, and condemnation. But through Jesus, the wall of separation was broken down. The Bible says, “For He Himself is our peace.” (Ephesians 2:14) Now, because you are righteous, you can stand before God without fear, guilt, or inferiority. You have been accepted, loved, and forgiven.
This peace is not the absence of challenges; it is the assurance that God is in control. Philippians 4:7 describes it as “the peace of God which surpasses all understanding.” It keeps your heart stable when circumstances shake others. It’s an inner still voice that whispers, “All is well.”
When others are anxious, you remain calm. When others speak evil, you speak grace. When there’s conflict, be the one who pursues peace. The peace that righteousness produces is not fragile, it guards your heart and mind like a mighty soldier. Colossians 3:15 (TPT) says, “’Let your heart be always guided by the peace of the Anointed One, who called you to peace as part of his one body. And always be thankful.’ This peace keeps you from worry, anger, bitterness, and fear.
Therefore ,Let the peace of Christ rule in your heart (Colossians 3:15) . Refuse to be troubled by what you see or hear. Keep your mind on God’s Word and your heart anchored in His love. Even in the storm, be still and know that He is God.Hallelujah!
CONFESSION
“Father, I thank you for the peace that comes from righteousness. I declare that I am at peace with You, with myself, and with others. Your peace guards my heart and mind, keeping me calm and stable in every situation. I trust in Your control and sovereignty, knowing that all is well. Your peace surpasses all understanding and fills my life with quietness and assurance. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
DEEPER REFLECTION
Philippians 4:6-7(KJV) Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Ephesians 2:14(TPT) Our reconciling “Peace” is Jesus! He has made Jew and non-Jew one in Christ . By dying as our sacrifice , he has broken down every wall of prejudice that separated us and has now made us equal through our union with Christ.
Isaiah 43:1-2-3(TPT) When you pass through the deep, stormy sea,you can count on me to be there with you. When you pass through raging rivers, you will not drown. When you walk through persecution like fiery flames, you will not be burned;the flames will not harm you,for I am your Savior, Yahweh, your mighty God,the Holy One of Israel!
