Knowing the Gift and the Giver

“Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.”John 4:10 (KJV)

Every believer must come to the place of knowledge, the knowledge of the gift of God and the Giver Himself. Jesus revealed this mystery to the Samaritan woman, making it clear that lack of knowledge is what keeps people in bondage. You have been given eternal life, healing, and authority in Christ, yet you can fail to walk in it simply because you don’t know. The gift you don’t recognize cannot work for you.

Christianity is a life of consciousness. What you know determines how you live. Jesus said, “Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” (John 8:32). When you know the gift of God in Christ Jesus and understand who has given it, you will walk in liberty, power, and authority. Many Christians still thirst and struggle because they treat God’s Word lightly, or they lean on culture and tradition instead of revelation.

The Lord Jesus declared that the water He gives is a well of water springing up into everlasting life (John 4:14). This means that the divine life in you is self-sustaining, ever-refreshing, and inexhaustible. You don’t have to live in cycles of dryness or weakness. The Spirit within you is the fountain of life, continually supplying strength, wisdom, and victory. You are not ordinary; you are born of the Word and of the Spirit.

This is why you must give attention to God’s Word. Listening, meditating, and speaking it causes the reality of divine life to manifest in your health, finances, ministry, and relationships. As you walk in the consciousness of this truth, struggles give way to rest, and weakness to strength. The supernatural becomes your normal.

Beloved, recognize what has been freely given to you in Christ. Don’t live like one who is still searching or begging. The living water is already in you; stir it up and let it flow. Glory to God!

PRAYER

Dear Father, thank you for granting me the knowledge of your gift in Christ Jesus. I live in the consciousness of the divine life in me. I walk in health, victory, and power every day, knowing that your Word is alive in me and producing results in every area of my life. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

DEEPER REFLECTION

John 7:38–39 (KJV)He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)

Isaiah 12:3 (KJV)Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.

2 Peter 1:3 (KJV)According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
