Honouring God: The Key to a Transformed Life

There are four things that make you; Culture, Ideology, Vision, and Action. All things are possible to you, only dare to believe. Whenever you face a challenge, come to Service with faith.

The Kingdom culture of Honoring God

The root of all honor is LOVE.
1 Corinthians 13:3 – “And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.”

Outside God’s love, whatever you are doing is nothing. When you do it in love, your motive is pure. Whatever you do should be compelled by the love of God. Whatever you do should be born from your heart.

Romans 5:5 – “And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.”
Discipline your children from the love perspective. Educate your children by explaining to them the Why.

Proverbs 22:15 – “Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child; but the rod of correction shall drive it far from him.”

Proverbs 22:6 – “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”

Children learn more by observing. You train your children by your life. Your child will reveal your life. Rod of correction: Words and Stick. Before caning, first speak words. If they are of age, first read for them scriptures and explain to them Why you are disciplining.

Children should be raised to be honourable men and women. If you are a parent, allow God’s love to change you. With the love of God, will keep you calm. The love of God will cause you to be patient with them, will cause you to believe in them even when they have done the very worst!

One of the ways you raise your children is by praying for them. Teach them how to honour God in the place of prayer, in church etc. Teach them how to honour God with an offering. Teach them how to package an offering.

Matthew 6:19 – “Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal.” Verse 21 – “For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.”

Treasure is your time, your money etc. We know where your Priority is by what you give your time and your money. Time is a function of Priority, and Priority is a function of value.

Proverbs 22:28 – “Remove not the ancient landmark, which thy fathers have set.” Some of the landmarks that our fathers set is giving. Continue therein.

Honor cuts across the old and new testament! Many of the letters (epistles) were written to address issues in the different churches. The four gospels were documented to reveal the works of Jesus. Specifically the gospel of John was written to reveal the deity of Christ.

Matthew 15:8 – “This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.”

All honor is connected to your treasure. Dishonor opens doors to demonic activity. Do not do anything out of fear for punishment, do everything because your heart is full of love.
